Pugs: The Humorous Side
Pugs: The Humorous Side
By far, pugs are one of the funniest animals I have ever seen!
I have yet to meet someone who can resist the face of either of pugs...Bella and Rosie. At first glance they are both ugly, but when you really look at them you have to laugh.
Have you ever seen a dog who twirls in circles and blows snot everywhere when you ask them if they want to eat? That is Bella. That is Rosie.
And, Bella...bless her heart...Her tongue is so huge that she rarely keeps it in her mouth. Her mood dictates how she will stick it out. To the side, right out in front, halfway, or all the way out. When she does put her tongue in you can't miss her crooked bottom teeth and the one snaggle tooth that sticks out. And when she is in a playful mood she makes it really skinny.
Bed time is interesting too. Both Bella and Rosie totally hog the bed and snore like freight trains. Not to mention, Bella sleeps with all four of her legs in the air. She reminds me of a gremlin before they turn ugly!
Whenever I am having a bad day all I have to do is look at them. They are an absolute riot. I don't care how mad or sad you are you cannot resist the charms of a pug.
If you are pouting, Bella pouts too. She lays in the floor and puts her head in between her paws. Those huge eyes look so sad. Yet, you have to laugh.
I have yet to meet a pug that doesn't like to be dressed up. Whenever the kids dress them up they strut around and prance, making sure everyone sees them. They act like they are models on the catwalk. Then Bella lays in the floor on her belly with all of her paws out. Her legs look like little pork chops! All of those ripples and girth! Attractive!
Going outside is fun too. You ask them if they want to go out and they both yelp and run for the door. Bella twirls and twists and carries on until she makes it out the door.
Both Rosie and Bella like to ride in the car. You ask them if they want to go to school and they are at the front door waiting. When I open the front door Bella darts out and sits right at the driver's door waiting for it to open. She sits in the passenger seat with her tongue hanging out, snot flying everywhere!
And, then there is the protective side of the pug. This is sure to make anyone crack up. Oh, they are so scary! Rosie HATES the vacuum. She tries to bite and barks ferociously! And, that Pug that is in the mirror...She hates that too... Bella hates it when people leave. The minute they turn their back to her, the hair on her back raises up and she attacks. She doesn't bite though. She just growls, and snorts and carries on. I can guarantee you will leave my house laughing.
With their personalities, round bellies, punched in faces, diva like qualities and their constant efforts to please their owners pugs are the best dogs. They are entertaining and they know it!
Dressing For Success! Pug Style!
Dressing For Success! Pug Style!
I have said it before and will say it again!
I cannot RESIST a pug dressed up...whether it is for Halloween, Christmas...or just because.
The photos that people get of their pugs amazes me! And believe me, that person may have gotten the photo on the first shot...(lucky person I say) or it may have taken hours to get it just right!
I applaud those who have the patience!
Thank you to all of our dogster friends who have shared their photos with us! We love you all! And we so enjoy the photos!
Keep them coming!
It wasn't funny then..but it is now!
It wasn't funny then..but it is now!
I got a call the other day at work from my daughter. She said, "Mom, the dogs are blue."
I stopped everything I was doing and said "What?" "Cmon, let's not be overly dramatic."
"whatever," was her reply.
I am used to this reply. I get it often. So I thought nothing of it. As I was driving home I was thinking to myself, geez I don't know how to get through to this kid that everything is not always so bad! Being negative all the time is a bad habit!
As I walked in the door. I could have fainted. The dogs WERE blue! And it wasn't just their paws. It was..well here are some photos. I didn't get many good ones of Bella as I was in a hurry to get it off them.
To do this day, almost a week and a half ago I have not been able to get all of the ink off of them. They had fought over an ink pen and it exploded all over them! And all over my chair! Thank goodness it is an old chair! And it wasn't the new carpet!
And I even called the vet. They love hearing from me. It is always something new and exciting! Good news! Ink wont hurt a dog! The plastic if they eat it can cause stomach problems. Thankfully neither Bella nor Rosie ate the pen!
So now I have two smurfs...Rosie the worst...she is now known as "smurfette!"
